Notable changes in the 2024 Kia lineup
Kia has two vehicles with noteworthy updates for 2024 and one brand-new model in the lineup to help build its robust offerings in the EV space.
2024 Kia Seltos
The Kia Seltos gets a new look for 2024, both inside and out. This model delivers 20 additional horsepower when compared to the 2023 Seltos. Its 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine gives you 195 horsepower for 2024. The 2024 Seltos also features an eight-speed transmission in place of the seven-speed transmission from the previous year. The 2024 Seltos includes automatic emergency braking with cyclist detection. On the S trim and above you'll get standard blind-spot monitoring, and the SX includes a programmable speed limiter that's handy for keeping new drivers in line.
You'll find upgraded lighting elements throughout the Seltos including a rear light bar that runs between the taillamps. The Seltos gets an updated grille design and fresh wheel designs as well. The available power liftgate adds ample convenience. You can get the 2024 Seltos in several new exterior paint colors including Valais Green, Pluton Blue, and Fusion Black. The X-Line model is a new addition with its own X-line branding, a black roof rack, gloss-black door accents, and a sleek gunmetal-finish front grille.
The shift lever of the 2023 model gets replaced with a rotary controller for a more modern look and feel. The infotainment panel features two 10.3-inch screens with one for infotainment and another for the driver display. The 2024 Seltos has more USB ports than its predecessor. Ventilated front seats are an optional addition for enhanced comfort.
2024 Kia Sorento
The Kia Sorento gets a facelift for 2024 that includes updates to the interior and exterior. The vehicle gets a boxier look overall that includes a bigger, bolder grille and LED accent strips in the headlights. The taillights feature a long slim connecting light between the right and left light bars. Rugged 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires take its capabilities up a notch and equip the Sorento for true off-roading. The 2024 Sorento can also tow up to 4,000 pounds, making it a functional powerhouse for family vacations and home improvement projects.
Inside the 2024 Sorento, you'll find fresh upholstery options and a standard 12.3-inch central touchscreen. A pair of 12.3-inch screens is available, along with a live blind-spot view monitor, a surround-view monitor, and a full display mirror so you're always completely aware of your surroundings. The available 12-speaker Bose Premium Audio System delivers the perfect soundtrack for your adventures.
2024 Kia EV9
The Kia EV9 is an all-new addition to the 2024 Kia lineup. This all-electric SUV features three spacious rows with seating for up to seven adults. It offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 304 miles and boasts an impressive towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. With a 7.8-inch ground clearance, no terrain is off-limits. This EV is even equipped with a heat pump to help conserve energy in cold weather.
The spacious interior offers a cargo capacity of up to 81.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Even with the seats up, you'll enjoy ample storage, thanks to features like hidden slide-out storage beneath the second row and a lower storage console in the front. You have a choice of captain's chairs or bench seating for the second row. The captain's chairs in the second row have available amenities that are as luxurious as the front with heating, ventilation, and massage features all available.
Minor updates to the 2024 Kia lineup
Four Kia vehicles feature moderate updates for 2024. Though these haven't seen the same overhaul as the vehicles above, you may find their enhancements a good enough reason to choose from the 2024 Kia lineup rather than the previous year.
2024 Kia Soul
The Kia Soul was refreshed mid-cycle in 2023, so the 2024 model didn't see major upgrades. However, it did add the EX Designer package for 2024. Rolling out on 18-inch wheels, this package delivers enhanced interior trimmings like an Umber color scheme and cloth- and faux leather-trimmed seats. On the Soul S and above, you'll get an upgraded Smart Key with your Soul. This key features a new Sleep Mode that deactivates the smart key 40 seconds after locking the car so hackers can't access and duplicate the key's frequency.
2024 Kia K5
The 2024 Kia K5 is nearly unchanged for 2024. However, it does get heated front seats in the GT-line.
2024 Kia Telluride
The Kia Telluride received minor aesthetic upgrades for 2024. The trim on the X-Pro and X-Line models is a glossy black rather than dark metallic as in 2023. Amber daytime running lights are included for every trim across the line.
2024 Kia Sportage
The all-wheel-drive XS trim left the lineup for the 2024 Kia Sportage, though you can still get the XS with front-wheel-drive. LED projector headlights are standard on all remaining trim levels. Kia also added airbags to the second-row seats for enhanced safety.
Returning favorites
Four vehicles in the Kia lineup return for 2024 largely unchanged. Though these options look and feel the same, a 2024 model guarantees you the pristine performance of a brand-new vehicle. Unchanged models include:
